
Liam O'Donoghue
Liam O’Donoghue is the host and producer of the East Bay Yesterday podcast and co-creator of the Long Lost Oakland map. He writes a monthly East Bay feature for SF Gate and his journalism has appeared in KQED, Oaklandside, Berkeleyside, Mother Jones, Salon, East Bay Express, 99% Invisible, The Kitchen Sisters, and NPR’s Snap Judgement. In 2018, he was named “best journalist-turned-historian” by East Bay Express and received the Oakland Heritage Alliance’s “Partners in Preservation Award.” O’Donoghue has given history presentations at libraries, schools, bookstores, and institutions across the Bay Area, including the Oakland Museum of California, California Historical Society, Berkeley City Club, and The Commonwealth Club. His quotes on Oakland issues have appeared in the New York Times and Washington Post.
